The 3-inch Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel blade holds an edge respectably and resharpens easily on basic whetstones — a deliberate steel choice that prioritizes real-world usability over spec-sheet hardness. The SpeedSafe assisted opening deploys the blade with a flick of the thumb stud, and the frame lock provides solid lockup without adding bulk.

At 3 ounces and just over 7 inches open, the Leek disappears in a pocket. The 410 stainless steel handle is slim enough for dress carry yet rigid enough for daily utility tasks.

Kershaw manufactures the Leek in Tualatin, Oregon and backs it with a limited lifetime warranty that covers materials and workmanship. Replacement parts including pocket clips, screws, and torsion bars are available directly from Kershaw.

At approximately $70, the Leek occupies a sweet spot — substantially better steel and build quality than budget knives, at a fraction of the cost of premium folders. The Leek earns its place through two decades of proven daily carry.
